Sporting Dinner – In Aid of YCK Squad Builder Fund
Posted in: Knights Club News on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012
A reminder that the Knights Independent Supporters Society (KISS), in partnership with the club, are holding a Sporting Dinner on Saturday 24th March 2012, 7:30pm start in Bar 13. The evening will be compared by David Kendall and the guest speaker is former St Helens, Leigh and Warrington legend Alex Murphy OBE. Tickets are priced at £25, or £250 for a table of 10, and all proceeds will go to the Knights Squad Builder Fund, which raises money for player recruitment/retention, and has been a huge success since its launch in August 2011. The evening will also include a four course dinner and fundraising activities.
The 24th March is a significant date for York Rugby League as it was the date of the 1984 Challenge Cup semi final at Elland Road when York were beaten 14 – 8 by Wigan, who were coached that day by Alex Murphy. It was also the date of the first meeting to resurrect York Rugby League in 2002, following the demise of the Wasps.
Tickets are available from the Knights Roland Court office or from Bar 13 on a match day (please ask for Gary Hall). Tickets can also be purchased over the phone by calling 01904 767404 or by sending a cheque, made payable to YCK Squad Builder Fund, to the Knights office; Roland Court, Huntington Road, York, YO32 9PW. We urge you to support this event and help raise money for something that is important to every Knights fan.
For further information see Gary Hall on match day or call the Knights office.
