Knights Appoint Marketing & Sponsorship Manager

York City Knights are delighted to announce the appointment of David Hick to the position of Marketing & Sponsorship Manager. David has more than 25 years of experience in the recruitment and sales industry, at management and director level, and he will start his new role this week.

David will be responsible for a number of areas including corporate duties on match days, forging relationships with local businesses and sourcing new sponsors for the club.

Commenting on his appointment Hick said,

“As a lifelong fan and past player of Rugby League I am excited and proud to have the opportunity of playing a part in the on-going success of York City Knights. I am looking forward to stuck in and tackling this new role”.

Knights General Manager Ian Wilson was delighted with the appointment and added,

“We received a number of high quality applications for the position of which David’s was the standout. We believe that in order to move forward and grow the club needed to recruit an experienced individual in this position and David certainly fits that criteria”.
