York City Knights have developed a new link with Leeds and York partnerships NHS Foundation Trust to support their very first campaign across the region called ‘Whats your Goal’. Chris Thorman, the York City Knights head coach, will be heading up the York campaign.
Whats Your Goal is a London 2012 Olympic and Para-Olympic games inspired campaign, which will be running throughout Leeds and York during 2012. The campaign has 2 aims, to encourage members of the public to get more active and to increase their physical and mental well being. Chris stated
“To maximise your achievements in sport and life, you have to set realistic and achievable goals, that are both short and long term.”
The club would hope that by backing this campaign we can help to demonstrate and raise awareness about the stigma associated with mental health.
Chris would like to wish everyone involved with the ‘Whats your Goal’ campaign the best of luck in achieving their goals.
